Since inception, Sandlin Capital has raised over $66 Million in private equity, arranged $208 Million in financing and acquired or sold over $211 Million in commercial real estate.

A 1977 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Bill began his professional career with Johnson & Johnson as a Microbiologist.

In 1982, he became associated with Clayton, W. Williams, Jr. in the development of a one hundred and fifty acre, 1.2 million square foot multi-use development.  In 1985 Bill was promoted to General Manager for the ClayDesta Corporation. Additionally in that year, he was involved in the purchase of a private hospital from HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) by a group of twenty-nine physicians and Clayton W. Williams.

In 1988 Bill founded Southwest Commercial Investments, Inc. (SCI). SCI exclusively represented First American Bank, First Gibraltar, FSB, Bank One, and Chase Bank in their disposition of assets in the West Texas markets of Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, and San Angelo. SCI was the exclusive representative for Starbucks in the same markets. SCI produced extensive results for clients in all product types to include Office, Industrial, Retail, and Multifamily properties.

In May of 2003 Bill became a partner, 40% owner, and co-managing partner for BBL Falcon Industries, LLC. During his ownership and with his direction, the company grew in gross sales from $750,000 in 2003 to gross annualized sales of $25,000,000 in 2008 with offices in Midland, Decatur and Southlake, Texas. BBL was sold to CARBO Ceramics Inc. (NYSE: CRR) and closed on October 2, 2009.

In July of 2003 Bill relocated to Southlake, Texas and became Senior Vice President for Synergy Properties in Fort Worth. While at Synergy, Bill delivered over $408 million dollars in equity to commercial transactions in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton Counties.

In May of 2008, Bill formed Sandlin Capital, LLC and has been directly responsible for bringing equity and debt for the sale and resale of a 172 acre multi-use project in Southwest Fort Worth commonly known as the Renaissance Square Development. Since January of 2009, Sandlin Capital has been responsible for providing over $274 million dollars in private equity and debt to real estate projects as well as business acquisition and development.

Richard J. Cole, Jr., MAI, and in addition to being Director of Finance for Sandlin Capital is the president and founder of 2MR Capital, LLC.  With over 29 years of experience in all facets of commercial real estate, he is able to customize solutions to meet the specific needs of owners, developers, lenders, investors and investment advisors at a senior management level. Prior to starting 2MR Capital in 2009, Mr. Cole was a principal at Rainier Capital Management. He was directly responsible for developing and implementing a disciplined and analytical approach to the entire lifecycle of Rainier’s direct and sponsored real estate investments.

Before joining Rainier, Mr. Cole specialized in arranging mortgage debt and equity capital on behalf of investors, developers and property owners with both Insignia/ESG and Northmarq Capital.  In addition, Mr. Cole also has experience in construction management and real estate appraisal.  After graduating from Texas Tech University with an engineering degree in construction, Mr. Cole was involved in the construction management for several commercial projects in Texas and California.  Subsequently, he worked as a commercial real estate appraiser and consultant.  During his tenure as a real estate appraiser he completed all of the educational and experience requirements and holds the professional designation MAI—Member Appraisal Institute.  He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas. Richard has been on the Sandlin Capital team since 2010.

Jeffrey Medici is the Managing Partner of Medici Development Partners, LLC and leads our development team for ground-up development projects.  Jeff began his postgraduate career as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force with assignments in Texas, Nevada and The Pentagon.  Upon separating from service, Jeff went on to PricewaterhouseCoopers where he managed a team of audit support consultants for the world’s largest accounting firm.  In 2002, Jeff transitioned to Fidelity Investments where as Vice President, he lead teams in Information Technology, Operations, Channel Management and Sales.  In 2012, Jeff started Medici Development Partners, LLC, a full-service commercial real-estate development firm specializing in hospitality, retail and medical-use real estate projects.   Jeff joined the Sandlin Capital team in 2012.

Jeff received his B.A. in Political Science from Clemson University and his M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

eMail Us | Michael Turner | Asset Manager

Michael Turner is the asset manager for Sandlin Capital investments and managing partnerships. Michael began his career with Verdad Real Estate, Inc. after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University in 2010. While at Verdad Michael performed a variety of services which included site selection, underwriting and deal sourcing while working with national retailers such as 7-Eleven, Taco Bell and Popeyes. Mr. Turner was an instrumental piece for the completion of several large sale-leaseback portfolios with QSR franchisees in 2012 totaling over 30 stores and $40 Million. Before joining the Sandlin Capital team, Michael was working primarily in New York assisting 7-Eleven with establishing a greater market presence through site selection and development. In addition to asset management, Michael assists Sandlin Capital with underwriting potential opportunities, site selection to grow existing investments and raising equity. Mr. Turner is also a licensed Real Estate Salesman for the state of Texas.
